Abstract

The study was carried out to investigate, the helminth parasitic load in freshwater fish Cyprinus carpio..During present investigation, three species of helminth parasites-Adenoscolex, Bothriocephalus and Acanthocephalus were recovered from Cyprinus sp. The prevalence, intensity and abundance were calculated in relation to sex, length-group and LWR of fish. Large sized fish were dominatingly affected by helminth parasites as compared to small sized fish. Thus the negative allometric growth was observed among infected fish. Male fish were predominantly infected as that of female fish.
